Before you begin therapy, our admin team offers a free 15-minute consultation to understand your counselling needs. During this call, we’ll discuss your goals, expected outcomes, and any potential barriers to ensure you feel confident moving forward. If you’d like more time to explore your options, you can also schedule a follow-up consultation directly with the therapist.

Our therapists’ fees vary based on their qualifications, experience, and the type of therapy provided.

  • Individual Therapy 50 minutes: $165–$180
  • Couples Therapy 50 minutes: $180
  • Sliding Scale $120–$140 (availability may vary by therapist)

Insurance: We are covered by most insurance plans. Some providers—such as Blue Cross, NIHB, and Manulife—may offer direct billing. Please confirm coverage and direct billing options with both your therapist and your insurance provider.

Length of Sessions: A standard 60-minute session includes 50 minutes of therapy and 10 minutes for documentation.

Free Consultation: We offer a free initial phone consultation to discuss fit, fees, and any questions you may have before getting started.

The first session focuses on getting to know you—your goals, personal history, and current concerns. Together, we’ll explore what you’re hoping to achieve through counselling and determine whether the therapeutic fit feels right for you.

We provide Trauma-Informed, Client-Centred counselling services tailored to your individual needs. Our approach integrates a range of evidence-based therapies to support healing, growth, and overall well-being.

Our therapeutic approaches include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Helps you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours to improve mood and coping skills.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helps you understand and heal the different “parts” within yourself through compassion and connection.
  • EMDR Therapy: A structured, evidence-based approach effective for processing trauma and reducing emotional distress.
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Focuses on developing skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is especially helpful for managing intense emotions and improving relationship stability. Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT): Builds on your strengths, clarifies your goals, and focuses on practical solutions to help you move forward.
  • Person-Centred / Humanistic Therapy: An empathetic, supportive approach centred on your unique experiences, values, and strengths.
  • Culturally Sensitive Therapy: Integrates and honours your cultural background, identity, and values throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Encourages acceptance of thoughts and feelings, present-moment awareness, and actions aligned with your values.
  • Mindfulness-Based Approaches: Cultivates present-moment awareness to reduce stress and enhance emotional regulation. Narrative Therapy: Helps you explore and reshape the stories you hold about yourself to foster empowerment and new perspectives.
  • Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy: Supports and affirms neurological differences such as autism, ADHD, and more. Strengths-Based Therapy: Focuses on your inherent strengths and resources to guide healing and growth.
  • Somatic Therapy: Uses body awareness and physical techniques to support nervous system regulation and trauma healing.

We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to accommodate your request and offer the appointment time to another client. Cancellations made without 48 hours’ notice are subject to a cancellation fee. That said, we understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can happen, and we will take these situations into consideration.

We accept both credit cards and e-transfers for payment. After each session, you will receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Most people find that biweekly sessions are a helpful place to start. From there, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and progress.
