She works with teens who may feel stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed by difficult emotions, as well as parents seeking support in understanding their teen, reducing tension at home, and strengthening communication and connection.
Approach & Modalities: Kimia’s approach is warm, practical, and evidence-based. She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), exposure-based interventions, and self-compassion strategies to help clients develop emotional regulation skills and build confidence.
She is also completing specialized training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for teens, treatment for self-injury, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), allowing her to effectively support both adolescents and their families.
