About Me
I’m Maryam—a Registered Social Worker (MSW) and psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience in the mental health field. My journey as a therapist has been shaped by a deep passion for helping individuals move through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression so they can shift from simply surviving to living as their truest, most authentic selves.
I view therapy as a gradual, transformative process—one that unfolds within a safe, trusting, and supportive therapeutic relationship. For over fifteen years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing profound change in the lives of the courageous individuals I’ve accompanied on their healing journeys. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and direct when honesty is needed. They value the grounded, safe space I create to explore life’s complexities.
How I Assist You
I work with individuals who want more than traditional talk therapy—those ready to look deeper, break longstanding patterns, and reconnect with parts of themselves that have been burdened by pain, fear, or self-protection.
As one of the few Ontario practitioners integrating EMDR with Internal Family Systems (IFS), I support clients in working through painful memories, emotional blocks, and internal conflicts with openness, empathy, and curiosity.
