With a deep understanding of Asian culture, family dynamics, and values, she can connect meaningfully and offer therapy that resonates on a personal level. She integrates clinical expertise with genuine human connection to support individuals, couples, and youth in regaining balance during life’s most challenging moments. She works with clients navigating grief, bereavement and loss, abuse, PTSD, depression, addiction, stress and anxiety, anger, relationship concerns, self-esteem difficulties, inner child work, suicide and self-harm, pre-marital counselling, trauma, academic stress, ADHD, cultural shock, separation or divorce, career or health changes, relocation, spiritual, and other significant life transitions.
She is also deeply committed to supporting refugees and immigrants in rebuilding their lives. As an immigrant herself, she has witnessed firsthand the profound impact immigration can have on mental health, even across generations. This lived experience continues to fuel her passion for making a meaningful difference.
Approach & Modalities: Sadaf approaches therapy from a person-centered and trauma-informed lens. Her integrative style incorporates EMDR, psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, inner child work, Gottman Method, TF-CBT, DBT, CBT, IFS, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Transactional Analysis (TA), mindfulness-based practices, as well as solution-focused and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through this flexible framework, she works to reduce emotional overwhelm, restore stability and ego strength, and help clients reconnect with clarity.
She tailors her approach thoughtfully to each client, maintaining a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship. Sadaf is especially passionate about supporting multicultural individuals and those navigating life transitions within a warm, genuine, and safe environment. Her collaborative style fosters a steady, holding space where clients can reconnect with themselves and build trust in their capacity to heal and grow.
Experience: Sadaf brings over 10 years of experience in therapy and counselling, supporting individuals, adolescents, young adults, families, couples, and the geriatric population as they navigate life’s challenges and personal struggles. She has worked extensively with university students and across diverse clinical and community settings, including a rehabilitation centre, with street children, and with individuals experiencing addiction, including chemical and non-chemical. Her work spans individual, group, and family therapy, and includes supporting neurodivergent clients, as well as providing premarital and couples counselling.
Clients describe her space as culturally attuned and welcoming, one where healing feels both structured and deeply personal. They experience her as empathetic, emotionally attuned, compassionate, an active listener, non-judgmental, genuine, and fully present. Above all, clients report feeling respected and supported as they explore their experiences with openness and vulnerability.
Credentials: Sadaf has done Masters in Clinical Psychology. She also holds a Master of Education Degree in Global Mental Health Counselling and Psychology from the University of Toronto (OISE). She is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and practices as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario, Canada. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
As a trauma therapist, Sadaf brings clinical experience in supporting individuals and families on their healing journeys. She strongly believes in the ongoing professional growth of therapists and remains committed to continuous learning, supervision, and skill development to ensure her work remains ethical, informed, and responsive to clients’ evolving needs. She offers therapy in English and Urdu and can also understand Hindi and Punjabi.
Therapeutic Philosophy: Sadaf recognizes that many people arrive in therapy carrying layers of emotional pain, uncertainty, and life transitions that can feel difficult to hold alone. Grounded in Yalom’s fellow traveller perspective, she approaches therapy as a collaborative, human-to-human journey marked by authenticity and shared humanity. She intends to support clients in developing deeper self-awareness, resilience, and trust in themselves as they move toward meaningful and sustainable change.
